Young Voices
YOUNG VOICES
I went to the O2 in London on the 16th of Jan. I can’t tell you how amazing it was! We clambered onto the coach, buckled our seat belts, and waited and waited… till, finally the coach started moving. What a relief! The coach made its way through the traffic, stopping and starting what felt like forever! All of us started fidgeting and shouting, “Are we there yet?”, and “How long now?” We arrived but the coach had to take its time to park. We left the coach and made our way to the O2. It was about a 5-minute walk to get there.
Then we were in the massive building of the O2. Lots of people needing the loo including me!! We sat down outside the areana and ate our packed lunch. In my packed lunch I had a bagel, prawn cocktail quavers, grapes, two strawberry laces and a mint club. Yummy! Then we went to the loo another time just in case!
Next we saw all the other schools go into the arena! It was now our turn to enter into the arena! My heart was pumping so much!Β There we were in the O2 arena! What a sight it was! High high we were up at the top! It was really frightening at first but I soon got used to it and settleld down.Β We had a rehearsal and we saw Heather Small!!!!! We also saw professional beat boxers!! It was amazing!!Β Just fantastic!! We went though all the songs, dances and had a break (which was our dinner) I had pasta salad, apple, and muffin. Our break passed quickly andΒ parents started filling up the spaces at the front… suddenly it started!!!
The lights went out and there was only our torches shining to give us some light. We sang all of our songs and watched performances by Heather Small and the beat boxers. Everyone cheered at the end and we watched the parents leave their seats and go home. I sat there and saw the schools leave the arena. It was our school next.
We went and carefully climbed down the stairs and left the arena, all empty. Then there was a big queue to the loo.Β Everyone went outside and made our way to the coach. We found out that their was 9,000 children! We got onto the coach exhausted from all of the singing. I had a sore throat then. Then I thought “now we have got an hour and a half journey”.Lots of people fell asleep on the way back but I didn’t. We got to our school already for bed. I ran into my mum’s arms for a hug. We got home at 11:30!! I fell asleep, very happy….
Wow, Emilia! It sounds like you had an amazing time!

I really liked this description of what the young voices was like. My sister (Kirsten) went to young voices but she was too tired to tell me amongst all my pleading. I am grateful for this and Iβm sure Kirsten is too, as I can stop my pleading.
Wow Emilia! A good description, sounds like you had a good time!ππΌππΌππΌ
