Why I think Boudicca is Amazing!
Last term, Year 4 learnt all about Boudicca in our History lessons.
This is why I think she was amazing:
- She was a queen.
- Her name means “Victory”.
- She was a Celt. Celts often painted themselves blue to make them look more frightening in battle.
- She was Brave and a ferocious warrior.
- There is a stature of her in London.
This is a painting of Boudicca- but nobody really knows what she looked like.
Boudicca led the Celt army against the Romans in 6o AD. She fought against the Romans at the Battle of Watling Street. Unfortunately, she lost. The Romans then ruled Britain for 350 years.
Well done, Ivy-Rae. You’ve taught me so much about Boudicca!
Wow, Ivy-Rae! You have done some amazing research!
I really like the way you used bullet points in your writing Ivy-Rae, it made it easy for me to understand why you think she’s amazing!
