Triplets chapter 1

                                Chapter 1

In the year, 1923, there was a wise young girl named Mary. She was going to the local playground in her village and when she got there she sat down. Unlike the other kids, she did not go on any of the slides, swings or other stuff like seesaws. She got out her book, and began reading. Then, a girl sat down next to her. She had long brown hair, deep blue eyes and a white robe.

“Hello,”‘ said Mary. Before the other girl could answer, all the swings, slides and everything else there broke. The mystery girls face went Scarlett. “Was that. . . you?”

The kids on those items ran to their parents, shocked, in tears. One parent, the owner of the park actually, said, “Run! Get out! Get out!”

Mary was about to get her stuff and follow the owner’s orders when the other girl giggled.

“What’s so funny?’

The girl didn’t answer her. She grabbed her hand and took her further in, around the seesaws. Mary asked, “What are you doing?”

The girl just said politely, “Hello. My name is Helen!!!’”

Then, some random boys called, “Ay ‘Elen!”

Helen ignored them. Mary felt worried, she had been told to leave the park and she hasn’t. Mary had never got in trouble before, and she didn’t want to-
ever!

Helen asked what her name was. ‘”I said…” began Mary- trying to act as nice as possible- ‘”It’s Mary…”She slowed down.

“Oh sorry,” replied Helen.

“It’s ok,” Mary said shyly. She didn’t want to get involved with trouble makers. And even if she did start to like her, she knew her parents wouldn’t let them hang out.

Mary’s parents were always strict -and never not strict. Her parents had been strict since birth. They had strict rules for the house:

  • 1# Don’t mess with Daddy’s stuff
  • 2# Be kind
  • 3# Read books
  • 4# NEVER make friends with a troublemaker.

Luckily, Mary’s parents were rich- they were famous writers. So they went out a lot to do interviews on famous TV shows. They rarely had time for Mary so, at the house, Mary was all by herself.

She liked it though. The one thing Mary really liked though, was following the rules. Mary thought about it, her parents were never at home…

Helen started, ‘Those are-“

“Can we be friends?” asked Mary quickly.

She just wanted to get this over with. She’d never actually asked someone to be her friend. She knew Helen was gonna say yes and bounce up and down again. She was that type of girl. Mary knew it. Helen said “Yes” straight away. They shook hands and both burst out laughing.

“Like we’re business  men!”

By the way, random boys were looking the whole time. Just staring. The two girls got along. Apparently, those boys were actually Helen’s three brothers: John, William and Robert.

They were born 2 years before Helen and they caused the park to break. Now Mary was worried, very worried. She couldn’t not be her friend now. I mean she could but that would be mean and that she was also breaking Rule 2. (¬_¬) Turns out, Helen loved reading books but didn’t have many books so Mary said, “Why don’t you come round mine and borrow some?”

‘”Yeah but I have to stay with my brothers..” Said Helen looking down at the ground. Mary put her arm round Helen’s back and said, “I’ll go get some. I’m only 5 minutes from here.”‘

Helen smiled again, “Ok,” Since Mary ran to get the books back faster, she only took 7 minutes in total. When she came back, she saw Helen’s brothers tying Helen to a fence. Helen screamed. She was crying. Helen didn’t see that Mary was back and when she was, Mary ran towards trying to help Helen even though she knew she could do nothing. Suddenly, a girl, about Mary’s and Helen’s age walked into the park. She had short black hair, brown hair and a brown robe. As soon as she walked in the park, then everyone noticed. She said, “Uhhhh is this park still open?” She was only talking to Mary and didn’t know what to say. “Well-“

“Yes JUST HELP!” Screamed Helen. Mary and random girl try to help. The random girl says, “My parents are outside, I’ll get them!”

“Ok!” Mary accidentally shouted still pushing the brothers away. The girl was back in no time. ‘What’s your name?’ Asked Mary.

“.. Alice…'”said the random girl looking like Mary was her worst enemy.

Alice’s parents came and sorted things out. Mary was amazed, they were like superheroes! Helen ran to Mary and said hello and introduced herself to Alice. They all got along. Mary mentioned how she thought of Alice’s parents (Good) and Alice said, “Well- that’s… kind of… what they do a lot. Mary was stunned. were her parents superheroes! They certainly didn’t look like superheroes. Alice’s father had and old suit on (Its 1923 in chapter 1 so it’s 1923 clothes.) and her mother had a dark-blue dress and striped bonnet on. (still 1923) Super heros (in that time) wore stuff like grey costumes. Or blue sometimes. ‘What do you mean they normally do that?’ Asked Mary. She couldn’t wait to get an answer even though she knew her parents were. They saved Helen’s LIFE!

‘I mean that they work at a school as teachers so they have to deal with naughty kids like them.’ ‘Oh,’ Said Mary. Helen suddenly looked sad. Alice asked ‘Why is she sad?’
‘They are Helen’s brothers, John, William and Robert.’ Mary answered.
Not knowing that Helen didn’t want Mary to say that. Alice looked back. Her parents were still talking to John, William and Robert. Helen muttered, ‘Johnny, Will, and Rob.’ All this was kinda awkward. Alice said, ‘Can we talk about something else now? Please?’

They all got along and met up everyday for 16 years (Until they were 21) and they all were friends, so much, that Helen once said, ‘I wish we were related it’s always so fun being with you guys!’ ‘HA! Really!’ Mary exclaimed. ‘You don’t want to live with me!’ Helen snorted in ‘Sure I do! You too Alice!’ Alice smiled. ‘I have an idea for that!’
