Trains!

                          Trains!

Hello!

Today we are talking about trains.

Trains have been around for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. They were first made in the mid-1800s in the industrial revolution. First there were steam trains which relied on pressure to move. But the first few exploded because there was too much pressure inside. The first successful steam train was the Stevenson’s Rocket.

These pictures are of steam trains:

The Steveson’s Rocket

The Golden Arrow

The Orient Express

Now to talk about diesel trains. Diesel trains are trains that are powered by the same thing that powers cars. In my opinion, some diesel trains are ugly. Here is a picture of one:

Now to move on to highspeed trains which are usually electric.

They are mostly powered by overhead cables but some lines use third rails that are electrified. Here are some electric trains:

The Bullet Train

The toikado Shinkansen

The TGV (France)

Moving onto maglevs which are powered by magnets with opposite poles so basically the whole train is floating! Because the train is floating, there is less friction so the train can go much faster!!! As well as maglevs, there are monorails which are trains that hang from above. They are also called suspended railways.

And now, the grand finale…

THE HYPERLOOP OF THE FUTURE!!!

The hyperloop is a train that can reach speeds of up to 387 mph. Here is the reasons why:

The hyperloop is a maglev but has some additional features…                                                                                                      The train is enclosed in a long tube, as you can see in the picture above. Inside the tube, there is no air, which means that there is no friction between the outside of the train and the air around it. This means that the train can go even faster than a regular maglev! The hyperloop still needs a few tweaks before people can use it. Let’s hope that we can ride on it soon!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Well, that’s it for today. You never know what might happen in the future of trains. So let’s say yes to what we’ve got until some random space train appears out of the blue. 🚄                So bye bye for now, train lovers!!!😋
