In Mario Odyssey, You collect Power Moons with the help of Cappy (a living hat) to power up the Odyssey (a flying machine) to stop Bowser who is planning a wedding with Peach on the moon! Most bosses (eg: The Broodals) will (when defeated) drop a Multi Moon (=3 Power Moons).

Cappy is not only your guide but can let you transform into lots of things (eg: baddies). The Odyssey will let you travel around the earth and moon which are divided into kingdoms (eg: Sand and Metro).
