Leonardo Da Vinci

In our reading practice lessons we are reading about Leonardo Da Vinci.

Leonardo was born in Anchiano, Italy in 1452 and died in Château du Clos Lucè, Amboise, France in 1519.

He designed many things such as Crossbows and Catapults (They weren’t electric of course ) but he was most known for being a painter. He painted lots of famous paintings like the Mona Lisa (the Mona Lisa is the most famous painting) and the Last Supper.

The Mona Lisa

Da Vinci had about 50 different notebooks over his lifetime and most of them had around 13,000 pages.

When Leonardo died, in his bank he had 400 florins left.
