Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I like ‘Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone’ which is a book written by JK Rowling. It is a great book which I recommend for children aged 8-12.

It’s all about an 11-year-old wizard called Harry Potter who has a lot of enemies- but also has a lot of friends! I especially like how Hagrid (a giant but still a human who is gamekeeper at Harry’s school- Hogwarts) thinks the three headed dog called Fluffy is cute and, even though Hagrid is a grown man, he calls himself “mommy” to a black dragon once.

It is not just a funny book but it’s more serious at times. One of Harry’s teachers (Professor Quirrel) has a dark secret! You’ll have to read it to find out his secret…

This is why you should read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
