Hi, my name is Taha. I usually write articles about Transformers but now I want to write about something more serious. I’m going to tell you about some animals that are endangered.

Here in the UK: The Red Squirrel

In the UK, the red squirrel is endangered. This is because another species, called the grey squirrel, was introduced. These take over the red squirrel’s habitats and compete with them for food and other resources. Also many grey squirrels carry a disease called parapoxvirus.

You can help red squirrels by planting trees or shrubs in your garden that produce food. It’s also important to provide a source of water when it is very hot.

In the Arctic: Polar Bears

Polar bears are vulnerable because Terrestrial and marine denning habitats for polar bears are increasingly disappearing and under threat from climate change and human and industrial influence
