My Old Dog Poppy

This all about my Grannie’s old dog Poppy.

Poppy was a sweet but also a bit cheeky at times. She would refuse to go outside on rainy days-dacshunds hate rain!

She was a very unique little dog and had a round tail. Some people said to my Grannie, “Did you cut her tail?” But Poppy’s tail was naturally round.

When she was young,  Poppy  was really,really,really,really,really (ok, you get the idea) playful. She loved playing with tennis balls . And I really mean that! She had 17 tennis balls all together!

Poppy was named after the flower ‘poppy’. Sadly she died in 2020 and I drew a poppy on the box that we buried in the garden with Poppy inside.

We all miss her dearly.
