The Ancient Greeks!

Greece is a country in Europe. Here it is on a map:

It is an interesting country and Year 4 are learning about it in History.

The Ancient Greeks believed in lots of different gods. They were:

• Zeus- King of the gods and in charge of lightning:

• Apollo- God of Poetry/Art
• Hades- God of the underworld
• Aphrodite- Goddess of love and beauty
• Poseidon- God of the sea
• Hermes- God of messages
• Athena- Goddess of crafts and war

• Persephone- Goddess of spring:

The Ancient Greeks were amazing. Alexander the Great conquered lots of countries.
